At the training themed “rethinking anti-racism in adult education” organized by Leargas in Ireland, Marvin Hokstam gave a presentation about living with racism in Europe. Blaxistence

The two-day training was designed for adult educators who are interested in anti-racism practices and innovative approaches in working with groups on topic of racism and discrimination.

After an impromptu request by the facilitator, Mr. Hokstam spoke about his experiences that are the same experiences of many Black people, which creates the necessity for safe spaces for people of African descent. “There is a lot of research about Black children underperforming at regular schools in Europe. We believe that it is because their schools are not safe spaces.”

It turned into a presentation about Broos Institute.
